Soa Ratsifandrihana is a dancer and choreographer. After studying at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris, Soa has worked with James Thierrée, Salia Sanou and Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker. In October 2021, she presented her first solo, g r oo v e, in Brussels. The show has been performed over forty times and continues to tour in Europe. In parallel, for May 2024 Soa is preparing a diptych through which she tells the kind of story she would like to have heard as a child. The two parts of this diptych take the form of a creation for radio, Ce n’est pas moi qui mens, ce sont les anciens, and a show entitled Fampitaha, fampita, fampitàna. Following on from her first solo, she is interested in the entanglements that are possible between radio storytelling and choreographic and musical composition to remind us that our bodies, just like our words, are bearers of stories. Soa Ratsifandrihana is artist in residence at the Kaaitheater from 2023 to 2025.
