Involved in the realm of theatre arts for more than 30 years, Ali Asghar Dashti is recognised as one of the most active directors and educators in Iran’s theatre scene. He commenced his career in 1993 and has amassed extensive experience in directing, stage design, and more. Dashti is co-founder and head of Don Quixote Theatre Group and CEO of Interdisciplinary Cultural-Artistic Institute: Names and Signature. He has staged over 25 productions both domestically and internationally, achieving significant success at numerous international festivals as well as in artistic forums. Moreover, he’s served as an educator at the esteemed University of Tehran and Tehran Art University, and has actively participated as a manager, consultant, and member of various artistic committees and festivals. Dashti is a prolific writer and researcher across several artistic domains, having published theses, books and articles, and has also worked as an instructor and a consultant in art and theatre workshops and seminars.
