Give someone in need the opportunity to see a show by contributing from € 1 to the cost of their ticket.
How it works
The “social ticket” is a new initiative from the Kunstenfestivaldesarts along the lines of the “suspended ticket”, which began at Théâtre Varia in January 2016. It is modelled on the principle of the “suspended coffee”, a post-war invention in Naples. The idea is simple: you buy two coffees and just drink one, with the other coffee remaining “suspended” and ready to be served to anyone in difficulty who asks for one.
The idea of a social ticket is not to buy a second ticket, but to contribute to the cost of a ticket for someone who is less advantaged in € 1 instalments. As soon as the amount of € 8 is reached, someone in difficulty will be given a ticket to the show of their choice.
This ticket will be allocated by our outreach department through sociocultural associations and organisations with whom we are long-term partners. Please note that the social ticket will only be issued to people who, due to their specific situation, do not have access to existing discounts, such as Article 27 and Paspartoe.
The Kunstenfestivaldesarts is a contemporary arts festival that attempts to combine a carefully honed arts programme and a wide audience. To achieve this, it is essential to guarantee access to art and culture, including for people who are disadvantaged or fall outside official channels.
