Guided by breath, the words and movement, composer and musician Caroline Marçot offers an exploration of the musical notations and the sounds that are symbolic of Hildegard von Bingen. The course will create a dialogue between this scholarly, mystical vocal work of this 12th-century composer, and the practices that François Chaignaud and Marie-Pierre Brébant have developed for the creation of Symphonia Harmoniæ Cælestium Revelationum, a total performance of singing and dance. This one-day course is aimed at amateurs and professionals whatever their level, singers and dancers alike.
To listen: Symphonia Hildegardia, our four podcasts about Hildegard von Bingen, initiated by Symphonia Harmonyæ Cælestium Revelationum. Listen to the 4 episodes hereunder or on SoundCloud (in French).
