The Suave (‘Soft’) company was created in 2014 thanks to the Entering Dance project (Panorama festival) that offered young people from the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro the opportunity to work with the choreographer Alice Ripoll. ‘Suave’ is the affirmation of faith, determination and love. The company’s starting point is happiness and the feeling of being alive, of sensations that people often forget but that are produced by the quality of encounters and human relationships. As part of the Free School, dancers from the show Cria invite you to discover the passinho, a dance that has emerged out of the funk carioca scene that triggers inter-favela duels and outdoor parties in Rio.
