The Kunstenfestivaldesarts is part of NXTSTP, a network of European performing arts festivals that came into being in 2007 to stimulate the co-production and transnational circulation of the performing arts in Europe. The NXTSTP network co-produces the creation of new works, giving the artists a valuable financial footing. Different festivals present them, guaranteeing visibility amongst international audiences. The festivals also offer residencies to young European and non-European artists. The second term (The Second Generation) has been awarded a five-year funding from the Culture Programme of the European Union. You can discover artists supported by NXTSTP on the Kunstenfestivaldesarts 2016: BERLIN, El Conde de Torrefiel, Taoufiq Izeddiou, Edit Kaldor, Philippe Quesne, Sarah Vanhee and Miet Warlop.

NXTSTP 2 (2012-2017) is a joint project by Kunstenfestivaldesarts (project leader), Alkantara Festival (Lisbon), Baltoscandal Festival (Rakvere), Dublin Theater Festival (Dublin), Göteborgs Dans & Teater Festival (Göteborg), Noorderzon Performing Arts Festival (Groningen), steirischer herbst festival (Graz), Théâtre national de Bordeaux en Aquitaine (Bordeaux).
